My life in a tunnel...

This week has been really hard. It started over a week ago when I had this ringing in my ears that made it really hard to hear. It was very frustrating and I just kept hoping that it would go away, by Thursday I finally called a ENT specialist to see if I could get in, they said that it would be a week, but what could I do so I made and appointment and hoped that I wouldn't go crazy before then, well, the ringing went away that day and I was hearing just fine. Then later that night my hearing just slowly started to go away. Friday morning I could hardly hear a thing, I emailed my mom in a panic knowing that moms can produce miracles and she got me in to see a doctor that morning, I was soo happy and scared at the same time, I was not sure what was going to happen to me. I ended up having a hearing test and found out that I had sever hearing loss in my left ear(I have been deaf in my right ear since I was a baby). The doctor explained that this is not uncommon and that it is treated with steroids, and that sometimes from two weeks to two months to work. I am not sure I am prepared to handle this for the long hall...I know that we all have trials but when your trial is one of your biggest fears in life it really seems unbearable. The steroids make me cranky and sick, I am depressed, I pray that I can handle this with the faith that I know I need to have. I am so grateful to have a husband that cares so much for me and who will still try and talk to me even though half the time he has to repeat himself. I am so happy to have a baby who doesn't care that I can't hear him and who loves me anyway.

So the other night Renn was playing with Isaac and he decided to pretend to dump water on his head from an empty glass, Isaac thought it was soo funny. A little bit later Isaac started to go for a glass that was on the coffee table. Renn said that it was empty and that it was a glass that he had just finish drinking some milk out of, we continued to watch Heroes and a few moments later I looked at Isaac and this is what we saw....

TIME!!

Don't we all wish that we had more of it! Renn and I have both been busy trying to finish up classes for this semester and Isaac has been such a joy that we are getting easily distracted. We did have a great 24th of July. Mostly just hung out as a family and then we found the best firework spot on UVU campus. Isaac was a little nervous at first but I think that he really enjoyed them!

Forth of July!

We just stuck around here for the forth of July. We went to a wonderful BBQ at the Silveys. It was a lot of fun and Isaac had a lot of fun playing with Kate. We were not sure where to go to watch fireworks, I really wanted Isaac to see them up close because he loves lights and I thought he would really enjoy the fireworks. So, we took the advice from a neighbor and headed to their secret spot. Well, it was not the best spot as I would have liked to be closer but the fireworks were good and Isaac seemed to enjoy it! Happy Baby

It has been a while since we have posted anything on here, I don't know how anyone finds the time to write on blogs let alone read them. Time just goes by way to fast. Not to much has been going on here. Renn is working hard and going to school. I have started a night class that is three nights a week and so Renn gets to watch Isaac for a few hours each night. I can see that it has been good for both of them to spend so much time together. I have noticed that whenever Renn is around Isaac just wants to be with him, it's cute. Isaac has managed to catch the hearts of many at church. This week he got a lot of "oh, he is just the happiest baby!" A few weeks ago a lady in our ward told us that we just had the cutest kid and that she loves to just watch him. We are please with him. He has become quite the handful as he has learned to scoot everywhere!

Like I said, he gets into EVERYTHING!

Sad Day

I know it has been a while since I have been able to write. I have been really sick and Isaac seems to be getting it too. Hopefully Renn will not get it. Ok so on to the sad day part, the Warm Springs near my parents home burned down today, I am so upset that this has happened. At first I was worried about my aunt and uncle serving a mission there, they are ok but their house burned down as well as the old mansion that has been a part of the springs for as long as I can remember. I am trying to fathom the nice little oasis in the desert now, all the palm trees burned, so devastating! I have been going to this place since I was little. Good memories. Here are a few pictures of the springs just a month ago when I was down there with Isaac...I am really going to miss this place!
